AB 1263 significantly restricts online sales, requiring age/ID verification (21+), signed acknowledgment forms detailing legal use, and delivery requiring the buyer’s signature at the time of sale. These laws will require you to ship parts to an FFL to ensure proper buyer information can be verified.
Many parts will just require buyer verification and signing some legal warning forms. However, after Jan 1, 2026 barrels MUST be purchased through an FFL. On July 1, 2026, barrel purchases will require a background check.
Uncle Ed’s Outfitters plans to facilitate these regulated parts transfers and we are working on a fee structure. We hope to be able to publish this new fee structure prior to the first of the year.
Once the process is in place, you will need to contact Uncle Ed’s Outfitters via email (uncle.eds.outfitters@gmail.com) and request that we send our FFL information to your online retailer.
Please note that the new transfer fee will not apply to parts in stock at Uncle Ed’s.
