Our Practical Performance Pistol class is developed for defensive and competition shooters that are wanting to increase their shooting speed potential and develop the fundamentals of movement while shooting. Techniques and ideologies that have been proven successful from competition shooting will be taught so students can start understanding intermediate fundamentals to build a platform to successfully shoot the gun at speed. The class will be held over two days with an expected round count of ~500 rounds PER DAY.
Who is this class for? Civilian CCW holders, law enforcement, military, and responsibly armed citizens that are wanting to learn foundational skills beyond slowfire static shooting.
Date: June 27th and June 28th
Time: 0830-1700 both days
Location: Old Dominion Range Orcutt California
What will be covered?
Grip, stance, and vision while shooting at speed
Efficiency of the draw
Levels of sight confirmation
Entry and exiting shooting positions
Transitions between targets
What will you need?
A reliable centerfire handgun or centerfire pistol caliber carbine
Belt, study holster, enough magazines to keep 50 rounds on your person
~1000 rounds of factory loaded ammo
Eye protection, electronic hearing protection
What are the prerequisites?
Previous formal training (PC832, military training, civilian classes from a reputable instructor)
Hold USPSA C or IDPA Sharpshooter classification
